Course Description:
The Fundamentals of Materials and Operations Management program offers an exciting classroom-based, instructor-led educational opportunity for people new to materials and operations management or people working in positions that interact with this field.

Attendees will learn:
The four-module Fundamentals course teaches basic concepts, techniques, and terminology of materials and operations management. For professionals aspiring to APICS certification, Fundamentals establishes a solid entry-level base of knowledge upon which to build. The modules include:
Fundamentals of Inventory Control
This module introduces participants to the essential vocabulary and skills of inventory management.
Fundamentals of Planning
This module teaches participants the principles of effective planning.
Fundamentals of Manufacturing Control
This module details priority and capacity management through the use of material requirements planning.
Fundamentals of Operations Management
This module maps out the relationship between goods and services and the operation of the systems.
